Buyers would be hard pressed to
find a more resourceful, dedicated, qualified, or innovative realtor
than Arvida's Tony Comellas, an agent very familiar with the Doral
area, although he doesn't want to pigeonholed as a Doral area
specialist.

Tony Comellas
"A lot of people call
themselves "Doral specialists", but I don't--even though I
am as familiar with Doral as anyone out there. By labeling myself all
I'm doing is limiting my ability to advertise your property
countywide," Comellas explained.
Comellas, fluent in Portugese,
French, English, and Spanish, was the first to bring the "buyer's
assistant" position, which works in conjunction with the realtor,
to the Doral area.
Luis Alvarez, Comellas' current
buyer's agent, is not only extremely energetic and knowledgeable, but
he has also been a resident of Doral Isles for more than two years
now.
"Essentially, as the buyer's
assistant, Luis will show the property and then the deal is turned
over to me so that I can negotiate the best possible contract for both
parties. Showing property is extraordinarily time-consuming, and we
are better served if I attend to other business. It really allows us
to give our clients 200% service," Comellas said.
And you'd be hard-pressed to find a
more industrious agent than Comellas, who starts each day at 5:00 in
the morning.
Comellas, a long-time Miami-Dade
resident with his wife Wendy and his Great Dane Miss Molly, starts by
checking immediately what properties were sold the day before, then
does his daily affirmations, sets his goals for the day, and adjusts
his business plan.
After working out and eating
breakfast he begins prospecting, something he does for at least three
hours a day.
"I need to prospect daily for
two reasons. Firstly, it is my job, and I have a responsibility to
myself to do that job as well as I possibly can. Secondly, I have a
responsibility to my clients, who I've sworn that I'll do my job to
the best of my ability. And I don't break promises to myself or my
clients," Comellas said.
After that, for the duration of the
afternoon, Comellas tends to all administrative tasks, client
servicing issues, and appointments that demand his attention.
Comellas officially started on
December 1st, and brought his listings with him. However, he doesn't
keep a set number of listings for very long, because he averages one
sale every four days and about 100 a year, an unbelievably proficient
figure.
"I won't take a listing if I
don't think
I can sell it," he said.
And 40-50% of those sales are in
the Doral area--an unsurprising figure given Comellas' history in, and
commitment to, that area.
"Since 1992," he said,
"the day I got my license, I've worked in Doral... Doral offers a
central location to major arteries of traffic as well as a great
proximity to all major malls--and very soon the Dolphin Mall as well.
It is close to the airport and it has homes available in whatever
price range you're looking for, and there are so many recreational
opportunities nearby," he explained.
Part of Comellas' commitment to
innovation is his state-of-the-art web site, www.allmiamihomes.com
. You can access the entire MLS list from his site and he can help you
with anything you might be interested in. There is also a form you can
fill out at his site which will request info from the client, and that
will be e-mailed directly to Comellas.
"If I don't return your call
in 2 hours," he promised, "you'll read about me in the
obituaries."
If you'd like to get in touch with
Comellas you can reach him at 305 471 9997.
