I believe we are living in very exciting days. Though
some would say the future looks grim, I see the opportunities awaiting
you in the year 2000 as God ordained, strategically placed by the
Creator, to position you for success.

Pastor Steve Alessi
God's plan for your life is one of success,
prosperity, and peace, not failure, poverty, and depression. The Bible
is filled with God's promises for our spiritual, physical, emotional,
and financial lives, and it's up to us to take hold of those promises
and make them come alive.
The good news is that we're not alone in this endeavor
for success, and the odds are stacked in our favor. That's right
friend, God wants to help you become a, and enjoy great, success in
the new millennium.
The Bible says it this way, "May the God of
Peace...equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may he
work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ."
(Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV)
Though religion says God is just a good luck charm we pick up every
Sunday when we go to church, the reality is He's available everyday to
assist in the pursuit of your aspirations and dreams. That's why I'm
confident that we can move mountains of limitation and failure as we
enter the new millennium, because GOD IS FOR US--he's on our
side...the winning side.
The challenge is not to make the same mistakes that
others have done in the past.
Psalm 78:40-41 "How often they provoked Him in
the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert! Yes, again and again
the tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel."
God delivered Israel from the slavery of Egypt, set
them up for success, gave them the opportunity to step into a new way
of living and positioned them for abundance so that they could not
fail. And Israel did the unthinkable--they limited the Limitless One
who was their entrance into successful living.
How did they limit God?
1. They Provoked God (Psalms 78:40)
We demonstrate unbelief when we are living in rebellion. Simply put,
we're saying to God, "My way is better than your way." When
we live our way, we're saying to God, "I don't trust you."
2. They Grieved God (Psalms 78:40)
God is grieved when we don't believe His promises. It's a mentality
that says, "Well that's good for someone who's better qualified,
but not for me."
Think about it: God spares no expense at producing and preparing your
future and guarantees it with His Son's own life, and some of you
don't think they're good enough?! Unbelief grieves the heart of God
and limits his productiveness in your life.
3. They Turned Back (Psalms 78:41)
Anytime you turn back from your forward motion you tie up God's hands
and limit your success! God cannot help you when you turn back. Once
you are free from the things that once held you back (or controlled
you) turning back is not acceptable.
4. They tempted God (Psalms 78:41)
Tempting God is testing God. When their leader Moses spoke a Word from
God, they questioned whether that word was correct, and demanded God
prove Himself over and over again.
Every time we question one of God's promises for our lives we tempt
Him and ask that He prove Himself again. Faith in God believes that
God will do what his word says he will do.
And lastly,
5. They Did Not Remember God (Psalms 78:42-43)
Though God performed many miracles of deliverance, they couldn't
recall them when the going got tough!
Hear me: if God blessed you yesterday, He can do it
again today and tomorrow!
People sometimes ask me, "Steve, how can I please
God?" The answer may surprise you, but if you'll commit to
remembering it, I promise your life will never be the same again:
Your Success and Prosperity (Psalms 35:27 "God
takes pleasure in the prosperity of His saints...")
Your Life of Faith (Hebrews 11:6 "Without faith
it is impossible to please God...")
